We are an architectural practice shaped by a simple interest: how a place feels to live in. We work between the scale of a building and the details closest to hand, bringing light, material and everyday rituals into one considered whole.
Light, depth and a quiet connection to the landscape.
A site is never an empty page. It has a direction, a texture and a rhythm of its own. We look for these qualities before drawing a response: the morning light, an established tree, the useful depth of an existing wall. What we keep can be as important as what we add.
From new homes to the reuse of existing buildings, our approach is to make the architecture specific to its setting and generous to the people who use it. Clear spaces, thoughtful thresholds and materials that feel at home are the starting points.
Light gives a room its character.
We study where light arrives, how it moves and where shade makes a space more comfortable. Openings are considered as part of the room, not simply its exterior.
Materials should make sense together.
We work with texture, weight and the meeting between surfaces. A coherent palette brings continuity from the first approach to the smallest junction.
Good places leave room for life.
We design for familiar routines and unexpected uses. The aim is architecture that supports daily life without prescribing every moment of it.
We make the process visible through conversation, drawings and material studies. Each stage gives the next decision a stronger foundation.

Listen and observe
We begin with the place and the brief: what you want to change, what needs to remain and how you imagine using the space. We establish priorities and identify what needs further investigation.

Draw the possibilities
Sketches and spatial studies test light, volume and movement. We compare alternatives together and develop the relationships that give the project its character.

Resolve the whole
The chosen direction becomes more precise through plans, elevations and material decisions. We connect the larger idea to the details that will carry it through.

Carry the idea forward
We agree the scope of support for the next stage and coordinate with the wider project team. Throughout, the original intention remains a useful point of reference.
